Prayer Circle"This prayer circle represents the people who chose a new Pastor for a local church. I was given a list of names and asked to paint them on rocks with different other things. Any things. The comissioner was very pleased and from what I heard, so was the prayer group. "-The Artist

More Information

"How did you come up with what to paint on each rock?"

"Well, the first thing I did was white wash the faces I intended on painting. Then I set the rocks in a pile and looked at the list of names. I let my instinct and impulse choose each rock for each person. I didn't know what I was going to paint for them until I started choosing colors and an image started forming in my head."-The Artist.

"Where any of them particularly hard to do?"

"Yes, Bob was surprisingly difficult to paint for. I kept looking at his name and at his rock and I just kept seeing brown. So I painted it and the dark line through it like a root or life line. That was the impression I got. I tried to add to it, but it always seemed wrong so I just left it as is."-The Artist.

"Did you ever meet any of the people you painted these rocks for and of?"

"Actually no. I still have no idea who these people are or why I felt the need to paint them the way I did. I just let it come to me and I have to say, I was very delighted with the overall experience and outcome. I'm not saying it was anything divine but it was peaceful."-The Artist.
